Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryIn the current Era many casualties are taking place at train level crossing . This is because of man's negligence at railway gate or it may be the problem of station master, who fails to pass information to the gate-keeper about the train arrivals.
Project ObjectivesAutomatic railway gate control system is implemented to prevent accidents at the railway crossing levels. To provide safety for the railway crossing users.In the country like Pakistan, accidents at railway crossing are increasing day by day.The train accidents cause sever damage to lives and property.This project deals with one of the efficient method to avoid train accidents.
Project Implementation MethodWe are using the Laser module which is being projected on the LDR sensor. When the train will pass through the sensor a signal generated. This signal will move/travel toward Arduino and then to NRF module(transmitter) which is directly connected with Arduino.NRF (receiver) received the signal on railway crossing and send this signal to Arduino and motor will be operated.The transmission is wirless based.
Benefits of the ProjectPrevention of accidents inside the gate. Reliable machine, which operates the railway gate even without gate-keeper which makes it useful for operation at unmanned crossings.It is also easy to install and cheap.
Technical Details of Final Deliverablewe use laser and ldr sensor for this project. And use wirless communication like sensor sens the train and send the data to arduino wirlessely and it operates the motor and close the gate and as well as when the train passes through the other side and sensor sense again then the gate is open.
