We are introducing a system named Automatic Medication System for Patient Care. This system encodes the prescription given by the doctor, furthermore the system will detect the timing and dose of the medicine. We will also design an android application for patient and doctor communication. After the completion of the prescription and all the data about patient condition will automatically send to the doctor through the android app. This system proposes a smart medical prescription service with the development of cloud-based database management and control service systems to benefit both doctors and patients.

Project Objectives

The aim of this project is to introduce a medication system that will accept the prescription in a form of encoded data to make a prototype layout for Elder, Blind and Uneducated people.

Prescription:First, we described or defined the all medicine which doctor gives the patients, and it describes manually in the system. Example:  Take two paracetamol tablets in a day two times. And describe all prescription like that.

Medicines: Here camera read the barcode of medicines and through the raspberry pi microcontroller to process the time and dosage of the medicines. We use phython language to operate or control the raspberry pi for the desired commands.

Reminder: Here system to remind the patients medicines timing and doses through the LCD and speaker to take the medicine at the right time.

Indications: LCD and Speaker indicates the timing and doses if the patients is blind then system tells that from the speaker to take medicines if its time to take. If patient is dumb and uneducated then the medicines time display on the LCD to take medicines .if the medicines take already that medicines, then system also show that you take already it.

Record: Finally, that we use to app which send the data of patient's medicines consumptions as well as their blood pressure and temperature reading by app to the doctor.

Using this project can save the time of doctors, patients, nurses, and relatives.
It helps to recognize the medicine, its time, and dosage so it is very helpful for a patient's life.
It saves the life of many peoples by preventing them from taking the wrong medicine.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The final project is of hardware plus software means a prototype for patients that provide a medication system for the patient to scan their medicine and which medicine you have to take.
