Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The first case was identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. It has since spread worldwide, leading to a pandemic. The virus that causes COVID-19 spreads mainly when an infected person is in close contact with another person. Small droplets and aerosols containing the virus can spread from an infected person's nose and mouth as they breathe, cough, sneeze, sing, or speak. Other people are infected if the virus gets into their mouth, nose or eyes. There have been 1.95 million deaths from corona worldwide. In this COVID-19 pandemic period which is a global outbreak, hand hygiene is the core preventive measure in the spread of the disease as advised by WHO (World Health Organization) which includes washing hands with water and soap regularly, using hand sanitizers, wear mask, maintain distance in public area etc. Hand washing helps to prevent any diseases that spread through contact. In order to eliminate most of the germs on the hands, we need to apply a good hand washing practice. In enforcing this hand sanitizing action before letting people in to where ever they intend to enter as some people are not willing to collaborate, some look at it as a wastage of their time and also sometimes security guards can let some people in without sanitizing and without check body temperature just because they are their friends or family or relatives, which is very risky. Therefore, the automatic sanitizer dispenser has designed that is stationed at the entrance door which means, when a person(s) wants to enter the entrance door, they must first sanitize their hands with this effortless sanitizer dispenser. The system provide germ busting sanitizer to a person and check the body temperature when the sensors feels the hands near to it. System will display his body temperature. If body temperature is greater than 99°F (37.2°C) the door will not open to him/her. And whenever someone leaves the door the system sanitize the door handles automatically with the effective sanitizer spray to kill germs on it. Also, system keeps measuring sanitizer level and reports it through Android App or web app.
The project is to design and implement a low cost automatic hand sanitizer dispenser. For implementation of this project we will require Software and hardware modules. Software will include Android app and a website for Dashboard. Hardware modules will require Nodemcu ESP8266 wifi microcontroller device to get data from sensors and send it to android app, DC motor, IR sensor which is used to check the presence of hands below the outlet of the sanitizer machine, ultrasonic sensor which measure the present state of sanitizer, transistor and resistor that maintain required volts, temperature sensor to get body temperature and LCD which display the body temperature, automatic door lock to unlock the door when temperature is under condition, breadboard and wires for connection, web app that shows present state of sanitizer, and an android app which generate an alert to administrator when the quantity of sanitizer about to end or empty.
Sanitizing Proper hands is a must to prevent COVID-19. However, pressing the bottle nozzle, Open the door of offices, shops, and factories is unhygienic. For this purpose we propose an automatic hand sanitizer. It can help to solve the challenges faced by security guards at different stations such as bank doors, school gates, hospital gates, 0ffices, factories, visitor of any Shops, hotels etc. The system provide hand sanitizer automatically and check body temperature by hands if you are to access any entry point. If someone’s body temperature is high the system will not open the door for him. It will sanitize door handle every time when someone leave the door to remove germs on it. This is a user friendly system that anyone can make use of. With help of this automatic sanitizer dispenser no need to touch anything.
