We propose to build a software project that can efficiently handle and manage various activities of a restaurant and all these activities will be happening under the supervision of the administrator. The businesses in restaurants are now growing constantly. At the same time, the need for managing its operations and tasks arises. The best way to optimize these activities is growing the business online as well. Today's generation encourages high-tech services especially over the Internet. Hence the project is developed proficiently to help restaurant owners automate their business operations. This project serves the best way of maintaining customer's information and caters their needs and give facilities to customers to search nearby restaurants by their own locations and prebook tables functionality on that restaurants they don’t worry about tables. Everything is digitized even menu are shown by scanning QR code on desk. There is no time consuming paper work, customers easily placed order from their tables and that order will be served by serving robot.

Project Objectives

The following are the features which can be a part of the proposed system:

Ordering, Waiting, Billing, Table Reservation, Order Placement, Near By Restaurants.

  1. Customer can search nearby restaurants and book table early from their android phones.
  2. Wastage of paper is avoided as our implementation is working just on android phones  and does not need any paper work. e.g.-For taking the order, we are not using papers.
  3. Also, our menu card would be digitized.
  4. A customer going into restaurant does not has to wait for the waiters to take the order. As soon as he occupies a seat, he would order whatever he needs. As soon as the order is ready, it would be notified to the customer. So, there would not be any issue of late delivery in spite of the food being ready.
  5. Web Panel are especially for the use of the restaurant manager/Admin. The manager should be able to control the function of whole restaurant from web panel. He can make changes to the menu. Like he can change price of particular item or he can disable particular item which is not available at that particular time. 
  6. Order will be served by Serving Robot which is controlled by an android app.
Project Implementation Method

The Implementation Phase will include the following aspects:

Build the User Interface

Our project needs a proper way to go through the proper channel, first of these is the complete user interface so that the final view should be there. Accordingly the coding  starting. User Interface is designed in android studio.

Build the database

Based on our project, we use Firebase Realtime Database to build our database.

Develop the algorithms

According to the designs, we will start developing our functional points according to the algorithms.

Build the Serving Robot

For Order placement in customer’s tables we make serving robot for that purpose which looks like human.

API

We use Google Map API.

Benefits of the Project

Sometimes it happens that the tables get booked soon during festive seasons therefore user can make advance booking using this system.

It saves user’s time looking out for restaurants.

It saves business's resources and expenses.

Our Hardware is serving robot. Robots has increased their flexibility with being capable of performing a variety of tasks and applications. They are more precise and consistent than human workers. Robots also allow for increased production and profit margin because they can complete tasks faster. Robot has 1-time cost and they will not retire.
