The motive behind this project is to solve the problem of our university. It is regarding the use of the old format for taking students’ attendance. By marking roll number of each student in different sheets. Those are further signed into PCs for future verification analysis that demands more time consumption. After reading various research papers to find the solution of this problem, we have found a way to upgrade this system using AI-based. We are going to design paperless technology for monitoring the attendance of multiple students at the same time. By taking the picture that uses face-recognition framework to detect each student’s face with their names.
The goal of this project is to develop a website for generating a paperless attendance system. It targets the specific purpose of designing this model by using computer vision techniques and different machine learning algorithms. We propose the plan and utilization of a face detection and recognition framework. It will consequently recognize students going to an address in a classroom and stamp their attendance by perceiving their faces. This facial biometric framework will consist of an enrollment procedure. 
This facial biometric framework takes a picture of a person using webcam. It then contrasts that image and compares the image with the image that is stored at the time of enrolment. If it matches, then it will mark the attendance of that particular student. We may use the concept of artificial intelligence to record the data how much classes the student takes in the whole semester.

Project Objectives

The AI Attendance System is basically an automated facial recognition system, developed for the identification of the students present in the class. This system contains a database of student details consisting of their full name, their marks of identification, their images captured from different angles, etc. The images of the students would be analyzed, and deep learning algorithm would be applied to train the system on the facial images so that it will recognize the student once he/she appears in the class to validate the identity of the user.

Project Implementation Method

The system will capture the images of the students and using face recognition algorithm mark the attendance in the sheet. This way the class-teacher will get their attendance marked without actually spending time in traditional attendance marking. 
 
The identification process to determine the presence of a person in a room or building is currently one of the routine security activities. Every person who will enter a room or building must go through several authentication processes first, that later these information’s can be used to monitor every single activity in the room for a security purpose. Authentication process that is being used to identify the presence of a person in a room or building still vary. The process varies from writing a name and signatures in the attendance list, using an identity card, or using biometric methods authentication as fingerprint or face scanner.

  7. Can obtain accuracy upto 85 percent.

  User Interfaces :
The user interface for the software shall be compatible to any Android version by which user can access to the system. The user interface shall be implemented using any tool or software package like Android Studio, MYSQL etc. 

 Hardware Interfaces 
Since the application must run over the internet, the hardware shall require to connect internet to the hardware which is android device for the system. 

 Software Interfaces 
 
This system is a Single-user, multi-tasking environment. It enables the user to interact with the server and attain interact with the server to show the animal information also leaves a record in the inbuilt database. It uses Java and android as the front end programming tool and MySQL as the back end application tool. 
Communication Interfaces 
The e-store system shall use the HTTP protocol for communication over the internet and for the intranet communication will be through TCP/IP protocol suite.
