Auto Power Factor Detection and correction
In the present technological revolution power is very precious. So we need to find out the causes of power loss and improve the power system. Due to industrialization the use of inductive load increases and hence power system losses its efficiency. So we need to improve the power factor with a suitable method of automatic power factor correction.. Power factor correction is very challenging for industries because due to poor power factor many problems take place. Rated power factor value is 1.0 at this value transmission network played stable and efficient performance. Power factor is ratio of real power absorbed by the load to the apparent power flowing in the circuit. In current scenario the power factor maintained manually by adding capacitance. The main concerned of this project is to correct or improve power factor automatically. The system is microcontroller based in which relays and capacitance bank plays a vital role. The proposed system has ability to calculate power factor from load. The system has an LCD display which shows some important parameters like, current voltage, power, and power factor. So, this APFC system will improve efficiency of network and save the time to correct power factor manually.

For testing and reats the project prototype was implemented in domestic loads
This project helps to improve the losses occurred in transmission and dissemination system and save money
It is a automatic power factor correction it uses aurdino for control system and capacitors to increase the power factor
