Many people who are stuck at home are spending time online faces issues to get access to outside conditions or different events that are occurred on a certain places.
The purpose of our project is to provide overall area information or current information of the area. Area update is a social networking website that lets its users to share and receive location based, eyewitness accounts of incidents happening around them. User will be able to get area updates by posting near real-time exchange of eyewitness stories it can help people save precious time, goods and lives in eye-witnessed News. User will know what’s happening as it’s happening around them, from traffic jams and blocked roads, to missing items/pets and accidents. Having this information available and open to everyone it empowers us all to make smarter decisions to stay safe.
Project ObjectivesThe project aims at providing an efficient interface to the connected users who can view events or happenings that took place near them or at certain location. The basic idea for this project is that each user can share and view post regarding events that are face by a person and other can easily avoid it. Each post will be checked and can be marked as Approved and fake on the other hand user will be able to comment about what are their view regarding that aspect.
The main objective for this project is to provide platform where one can have safer communication community. Where each individual will have opportunity to look all over the current situations and happenings around them, help each others with the difficult situation. User verification is required once in order to prevent unrelated people away for this site.
We also propose to include a Fake News Detection and Removing Abusive Comments from the post. This feature keeps track of any fake news or comments about any upcoming occasions, changes and special events that may influence the Users. We hope that by our proposed project one can get more opportunity to learn and interact more. Everyone deserves to be safe and with Area Updates,we hope that everyone can have a better view for themselves and each other while learning more about the situations taking place in different places while helping each others.
Project Implementation MethodThis project is based on concept of information sharing and socializing. The main object of this project is to share common problems faced by people when they step out side their houses.This project idea is to provide a place where one can share its problems or unfortunate events that occur or the person face while he is outside. User will be able to get area updates by posting near real-time exchange of eyewitness stories it can help people save precious time, goods and lives in eye-witnessed News. This project uses real time location that allows to share what’s happening as it’s happening around them, from traffic jams and blocked roads, to missing items/pets and accidents. Having this information available and open to everyone it empowers us all to make smarter decisions to stay safe. Users can see information that will be categorized by different type that you can access without any trouble. It lets different types of users to come and interact with each other each user can Approve the posted information if its true or reject and top approved news will be shown at the top. If you think a certain person on that website posts content that is true or you believe him than one feature that this website includes is that you can Follow that certain person and view their posted content easily. The main aim of our project “Area Update” is that one can access information easily without any trouble. It lets you post your content, Comment on some one’s else content or Approve/ Disapprove that certain post keeping real one on side side that can help the connected user to be prepared ahead of time.With “Area Updates”,we hope that everyone can have a better view for themselves and each other while learning more about the situations taking place in different places while helping each others.
Benefits of the ProjectMany peoples are unaware of the outside situations specially those who stays inside by reading the current happenings and conditions that is happening every day you can spread awareness. It’s one’s civic duty to help others in your community to be aware. So if reading the news helps you become more aware, you can spread that knowledge to others.
New or Important Updates regarding current situations is important because it informs our view of the world, and in response we take action and make choices based on how we perceive the world to be. If you are well-informed, people will be less likely to fool you or manipulate you. For example, there’s a lot of online outrage that gets sent out in memes or posted to social media; if you are well-informed, when you see what seems like an outrageous quote, you will be able to know if it’s true or not, and you’ll have a logical rather than an emotional response to it.

Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe project Area Update is a website designed on Asp.net MVC technology using Visual Studio Software. Area Update is based on eyewitness posts. All stories both video and photo are stored on the database and cannot be tampered with. It is a community moderated platform, and carefully drawn out Verification processes keep all stories checked. In the longer run, stories collected over a period of time can help communities see what issues need to be addressed, and fixed.
