Nowadays, people are becoming fond of shopping and this activity is very popular everywhere especially in the young generation, but unfortunately its time consuming. For few people, it’s interesting and fun activity because they like it, while for other it’s tough and unpleasant task because too much of guesswork involved to acknowledge if a garment fits and suits nicely. Developer and software engineers are doing experiments on augmented reality around for years. By using augmented reality user can try dresses of different sizes and colors virtually rather than physically, also if any user wants a suggestion from our system, then user have to add some information like (height, weight, age and type of dress like western or Pakistani) and suggest them dresses according to their requirement. Also this application is beneficial for the shopping malls and shopping markets where there is no proper privacy available for user in trials room. By using our system (Raspberry Pi) there will not be any privacy issue for customer, so after considering the situation, we have decided to develop a system using Raspberry Pi which will provide the quick solution to this problem. This application can be used in shopping malls and also user can buy the Raspberry Pi and cameras to use this application at home.

Project Objectives

The main Objective of this application is to save the time and physical energy of the user. By using our application user try on the different type of dresses of their size and of different colors free of cost virtually rather than physically, also trial room are not safe and there is no privacy for the customer so our system will solve all these problems in efficient manner.  Also, user can get valuable suggestion from our system which will tell the user which dress will suit on them and also user can try that dress and decide whether the suggestion is good or not.

Project Implementation Method

There are four main features of our application which are given below.

When user will open the camera which is attached with Raspberry Pi, the camera will sense the body of the user and estimate the pose of the user. After sensing the pose then another important component is to estimate the size of the user so that dress fits nicely on them then, user is supposed to select the dress and our last feature is to map selected dress on user nicely and show the result of the dress on the LCD attached with (Raspberry Pi).

In the second option user are supposed to enter some basic information like (Height, waist, and type of dress) and then our system will suggest them a dress according to latest fashion using our data set.

Benefits of the Project Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The user can select the dress which they want to try and camera sense the body of the user with the help of Raspberry Pi. First it estimate the pose of the user and then the other most important goal is to estimate the size of the user, after size and pose estimation the selected dress will be map on the user body and the whole process will be display on the LCD attached with Raspberry Pi.

Another most important feature of our application is dress recommendation/suggestion; the system will suggest the appropriate and latest fashion dress to user by getting little information from the user.
