Project Summary

Project is to create driverless car prototype as UAE government states that in 2025 UAE taxi system will be autonomous(means driverless vehicle) as in Pakistan Careem and Uber has taken place as taxi they pay high to the drivers and in some cases driver attitude is not good which become a remarkable damages to the companies as public not prefer to the non-communication driver so just remove the driver and make it easy to travel the full of privacy and all so save the payment of drivers recently uber has tested the driverless vehicle but unfortunately test is fail. Anyhow the project is not limit to the driverless vehicle but also use in factory for uploading and offloading of the goods in internal area and this project can also be used as smart PEON system as the user not have to call the PEON for file exchange in the office he will use android app to assign the path send the files to the other colleague by using the robotic vehicle so we decided to create a prototype of driverless vehicle. We analyze the problem and create this project to overcome them and give the companies a better tomorrow.

This document is reported to guide the next generation about the problems of arduino and the android. This document will provide the details of the project, working, construction, components and problems

Project Implementation Method

A driverless vehicle, programmed on the Arduino and Android stage. A portable “smart” device application presently running on the android stage. The user draws a pathway straightforwardly on the screen of the handy device for the vehicle to follow. The vehicle and the handy device communicate via Bluetooth. The vehicle is equipped with a hurdle detecting IR sensor. When the hurdle is detected, the vehicle stops and the client will receive the message of hurdle application will now present you two feasible choices: either control the vehicle manually, or instruct the vehicle to follow the new pathway. The user can upload a map to the application and sketch the pathway straightforwardly on top of the selected map. This simplifies the process of drawing a more precise path over a larger area.

Benefits of the Project

•This could be used, include a factory floor or a stockroom logistics, in order to be remotely guided indoors a building and through corridors in order to choose a specific element and transport it at a different place.

•Meanwhile, it could be used to remotely steer through unfriendly environments, such as engine rooms in power plants or even during natural disasters.

•Alternatively, another use case could involve the system in an emergency situation, where a robot would be tasked to visit specific locations and deliver supplies or provide assistance.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Our aim is to develop and design a simple user interface android based assign path vehicle system which is able to connect our smart phone wirelessly to the main controlling board and an interface between a user and a car for real time driverless car .where the Bluetooth module is integrated for the communication to the phone.

1.            Cell phone, It shows obstacle detection status and use to give car path.

2.            Bluetooth Module (attached with the controller), it receives and transmits the controller and user signals.

3.            Sensors (attached with the controller).

4.            Our project contains two portion defined as following;

First, Android application user will pair the smart phone Bluetooth with car Bluetooth then open application press load button to upload map now user can draw the map after drawing the path user will press the send button. The application will send the commands in form of massage to the Arduino will executing the command if car detect hurdle it will show on application.

Secondly, the Arduino will receive the command and follow the path send by application using sensor if obstacle is detected Arduino will send the massage to application and follow forward reverse left and right.
