The demand for the electrical power has increased, as the advancement is increasing day by day. The new pattern of producing Power from Renewable power sources has picked up its statures due to numerous focal points in contrast with conventional sources and non-renewable sources.
In recent years, hybrid solar wind energy has become one of the most significant and promising sources of renewable energy, which requires an additional transmission capability and safer means of maintaining system voltages and reliability. The major advantage of the system is that it meets the basic power requirements of non-electrified remote areas, where grid power has not yet reached. The power generated from both wind and solar components is stored in a battery bank for use, whenever required.
A Hybrid Wind Solar system demands a higher initial investment than single larger systems: large wind and solar PV systems are proportionally cheaper than smaller systems. But the hybrid solution is the best option whenever there is a significant improvement in terms of output and performance - which happens when the sun and the wind resources have opposite cycles and intensities during the same day or in some seasons.
A new concept known as INVELOX due to its shape, in wind power which gives the significantly higher output than traditional turbine of the same diameter and aerodynamic characteristics under the similar breeze conditions. The primary inventive of this idea is that it disposes of the enormous towers, utilized in traditional turbines which are uneconomical, inefficient and threat for the individuals and wildlife too. The second feature of INVELOX is the elimination of yaw control because of its omnidirectional it catches wind stream from every direction. Furthermore, it accelerates the wind flow through the Venturi section which is then expanded and released into the ambient environment. So, the above features demonstrate that it accelerates, captures and concentrates the wind.
Thus, using INVELOX wind turbine rather than traditional wind turbine in Hybrid wind solar System not only reduces the cost, but is more efficient as it can generate electricity up-to the lowest velocity of 2 MPH, whereas, a traditional wind turbine varies from 6-9 MPH. It can be used in around 90% of the area of Pakistan, because of its less requirement of the speed. It is the game changer for Renewable Hybrid systems, that is the dire need of Pakistan.
