Project Summary

The main summary of this project is the water pump will pull out the water from the water

reservoir to the water tank. When the water tank is filled it will off automatically. Renewable

energy will be used by the water pump to pump the water. On the output pipes of the water tank

solenoid valve will be fitted. This solenoid valve will be open and close according to the

instruction given by the BSU(Base Station Unit). The BSU will collect the data from the

humidity sensors places in the field. This data will be transfer wirelessly. Thesolenoid valve will

be open 20%, 30% up to 100% according to the temperature and water requirement to the plants.


The water requirement to the plants will be ministered by the humidity sensors.

The water level is decreasing day by day so we need to save water. Our First objective is to save

water form evaporation.As we know our country is facing energy crises. So Another objective of our project is to saveus from electric bill’s because we use renewable source energy. It is cheap as compare to another Irrigation system. It is also an irrigation system which is Automated control form a mobile application

First of all, we will implement our project on one kind of plant. We will grow the plants in a row.

We must know the data of that plant means how many waters is required to that plant in the

different sessions and temperature. We will place a sensor to detect the humidity of the plant. This

sensor will send the data wirelessly to BSU( Base Station unit). Which is a mobile application? It

will control the solenoid valve according to the water needed by the plants. This solenoid valve will

be automatically closed and opened according to the instruction provided by the BSU. Water will

be automatically filled by the water pump into the water tank when the water tank is having 25%

water. The water pump will be work on a renewable source of energy.

The hallmark of drip irrigation is the system’s ability to efficiently water plants because of controlled delivery of water directly to the ground. Drip irrigation systems consist of tubing through which water travels from its source to drip emitters (also called micro sprinklers).Drip irrigation tubing is snaked through landscape beds and groundcover areas, and water literally drips from the emitters right to plants’ root zones. Drip irrigation installation does not require.                                                   excavating and rarely disrupts the integrity of a landscape bed during installation. Tubing is

weaved throughoutthe area requiring watering. Therefore, drip irrigation systems can be

                                                movedand are not permanent like conventional irrigation systems (involving spray-  

                                                   heads, pop-up heads, etc.). With drip irrigation, water is delivered directly to the ground’s

                                                surface rather than being sprayed up and out over an area. This direct application of water  

                                                yields water savings.Drip irrigation can deliver 1 to 4 gallonsof water per hour to a landscape.                                                   bed and there is no drift, which is what happens when the wind carries water dispersed          

from an irrigation system to areas that do not need water (your sidewalks, walkways and

                                                property owner, you’re looking to reduce monthly expenses and drip irrigation   

                                                can decrease that water bill.
