In the health domain, the patients really want to minimize the burden of maintaining the health record, searching the doctor, and checking the details of the prescribed medicines. Manually it is very tough to do so because it is a time consuming process. To bring comfort and relief there was a need to develop an application. This app will serve multiple purposes like maintaining health related records, setting doctor's appointments, and searching different medicines for their detail or alternative medicines.

Medicine module will be enhancing apps with the ability to suggest medicines on the basis of their chemical name composition and it will also generate warning alerts about the side effects, indications etc. The user can search about different categories like skin care and so on.

Project Objectives

  • Chemical name composition:

The application will have both brand name of the tablet and chemical name. This will help to find the substitute of a medicine by suggesting other brand tablets with the same composition. This is the main feature because it happens that patients do not get their prescribed medicines from their nearest medical store so they could easily find the alternative of the medicine.

 • Warnings and indications:

The application will have all medical drugs listed with their warnings, side effects, high risk group, and contraindications. So that the patient could easily get all the necessary information about any drug/medicine.

 •Categories:

The user will be able to search for the medicine based on their categories like skin care, first aid, fever, etc.

 •Admin panel:

This application has a separate admin panel based on a Web Application. It is used for entering medicines data. This will be controlled and monitored by some medical experts.

 •Alert notification:

Since our project includes the integration of all the three modules, this will also include the alert notification. It is a feature which enables the patient to generate an alert in the case of an emergency. Which will be notified to the nearest available doctor

Project Implementation Method

All-in-one health application will be a hybrid app, developed using React Native technology. Digital Ocean is used as the hosting platform. Digital Ocean is a paid hosting service. We also require a proper domain name for our application. This application requires scanning of medicine boxes, extracting and analyzing to give details and alternatives of the medicine. To implement the data extraction from a medicine box, we need Google Cloud Vision API for accurate text detection from the box of medicine. Also, we require a workstation for the development of the application and testing of the application. At the end, we are supposed to submit a report of the project.

Benefits of the Project

The project was initiated by keeping the relief of the patients in mind. It is very difficult for the patients or their families to properly maintain the patient's medical history and search for medicines. The "All in one health app" facilitates the patients to maintain their records and not to carry the files of medical records. It also facilitates by providing the brief description of the medicines related to different categories. The patient can easily find the alternative of any medicine.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We have use PHP as a core programming language and for the mobile application we use React Native.

The software which we are using in this project are as follows:

? Xampp (local server) for backend
