A Solar Based Electric Car with GSM based Tracking system
| Project Area of Specialization |
Robotics | | Project Summary |
- According to World Heath Organization (WHO), total contribution of transport to particulate air pollution can vary widely, from 12%-70% of the total pollution mix.
- Low- and middle- income countries suffer disproportionately from transport-generated pollution, particularly in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
- In part, this is due to the use of old and inefficient diesel vehicles and a lack of public and active transport networks.
- UK and France will ban all petrol and diesel vehicle by end of 2030.
- Alternatives to fuel vehicles are Electric or Solar Cars.
- It is a main reason to go with this project (Electric Car) to create awareness of damage of transport pollution to eco-system and make it more practical in Pakistan.
| | Project Objectives |
- A Car that is powered by Electric Motor that gets energized from its Rechargeable Batteries.
- It has GSM based Tracking System.
- It has constant Acceleration and will be more efficient.
- It can also be charged with Solar Energy.
- It will have a Low Manufacturing Cost.
- It wil be eco-friendly.
| | Project Implementation Method |
- Firstly, work on a tracking system of Solar Electric Car which is made up of GSM interface with Arduino.
- Obtain a chassis or body of car and dismantle it according to requirements.
- Calculate the total load of car and select an efficient DC Motor whicih is suitable for load and has moderate cost.
- To charge the car with Solar Energy, select the suitable rating of Solar Panel and Battery.
- Assemble all the component in chassis.
- Finally test the car and will analyze it for suitable changes.
| | Benefits of the Project |
- It is an eco-friendly as it produces no tailpipe emissions.
- It has a smoother drive than the conventional fuel vehicles.
- As it has few moving parts, so it has low manufacturing and maintenance cost.
| | Technical Details of Final Deliverable |
- DC Motor is connected to battery with potentiometer and switch is connected between them.
- Car gets start by turning on the switch and potentiometer is used as its braking system.
- GSM is placed inside the chassis of a car which is used as a Tracking System.
- There is also a mechanism to charge the battery of a car with Solar Energy as well as with the Main Supply.
