A Smart Monitoring of Power Transformer for Transients Heat and Moisture ambience using DHT sensor
A transformer's life can be extended if it is working under optimal and rated conditions. Under transient conditions these devices can cause unexpected breakdowns and a loss of supply. Because of this, the reliability of the system has been impacted negatively. Transformer failures are primarily caused by these ambiences and inadequate cooling. At the present, transformers are monitored manually, with a person accessing the website on a regular basis to perform maintenance and record parameters. Transformer oil and winding cannot be detected by a normal monitoring system due to overloads or overheating. They all have the potential to drastically shorten the life expectancy of transformers. As part of this thesis, we developed a system through which different operational parameters of transformers are monitored and analyzed to identify the health of transformers and to assess their performance over a longer period. Due to overloads and overheating, a regular monitoring system is unable to identify transformer oil and winding. The combined effect of these factors has the potential to significantly reduce the life expectancy of transformers. Part of this research involves the development of an automated monitoring and analysis system for transformer operation that can be used to determine the health of transformers and measure their performance over a longer period of time.
A transformer's operating faults will be recognized well before a catastrophic failure occurs, which will result in a lengthy service life. Other benefits include lower costs and higher reliability. Also, it has the advantage of reducing costs and boosting reliability.
As one of the most expensive and basic components in a power system, power transformers have a high price tag. Both the transformer owner and the society may incur significant costs as a result of an unplanned breakdown. The last several decades have seen the development of a number of monitoring and diagnostic systems that allow transformer faults to be detected at an early stage, allowing planned maintenance and repair to be completed on time. Purpose of this collaborative work is targeted towards developing “A Smart Monitoring of Power Transformer for Transients, Heat and Moisture ambience using DHT sensor” that electrical appliance and other three-phase models can be used to replicate a three-phase power supply, as well. To check the temporal balance of an uninterruptible power, we interface usually linear components and nonlinear components are combined on machines such as transformers, loads, and breakers. This is using for monitor the parameters of three phase transformer, transients, humidity and temperature on PROTEUS. Avoid transformer from overheating and burning. The system consists of the modules like Transformer, Microcontroller, Voltage Sensor Current Sensor, Temperature Sensor, Relay Driver and LCD Display.
This project basically serves in grid stations for protection power transformer. First of all simultation for our monitoring system will be done on PROTEUS for specified grid parameters. We will try to make an artificial grid station as close as natural as possible. Also the grid model will be made for physical representation. The model will be implemented according to simulated result.
An experimental setup of power transformer faults detecting system has been verified which resulted in 95% driver efficiency. Several algorithms and software techniques are available, for monitoring of power transformer. It is a micro controller-based substation protection system which will be designed and implemented.Simulation software will be used to analyze and validate the system's performance.
