Section Wise Errors / Defects
Personal Information:
- User Profile Picture Place Holder doesn’t have any Icon + Sample Picture which leaves a bad impact.
- In Birth District and Domicile select box, there are so many options. So it is difficult to find desired option.
- While selecting an image, if we have selected a wrong picture, there should be an option to clear the current selected image instead of only replacement of that picture.
Contact Information:
- In City/The, District, Province and Country select box, there are so many option options. So it is difficult to find desired option.
- As Country, Province, District and City/Teh are depended on each other. So order should be country, province, district and then city.
Qualification:
- While we add qualification, after first entry when we try to add new qualification, some details are pre entered which is time consuming to clear the previous data.
Honors & Awards:
- While adding new Award, the field of Sr. No does not specify any meaning and record is added if we don’t give any value to Sr. No. It also accept any type of value e.g. numeric, string etc.
- While deleting a record it only delete first record in the list.
Research Work:
- There is no data validation rule implemented. It can increase the chances of entering invalid data.
- Adding Books and Book Chapter options are not working.
Projects:
- Add Project option does not work. Record does not save.
Employment Info:
- Whenever we enter a new record after first one. Form have some previous data by default. Which is time consuming to clear the form manual.
- While deleting the record, it does not delete specified record. It only delete the first record in the list.
Job / Post Selection:
- Select Job Does not show any option until we refresh the form. As each user does not have such skills and there is no system message to let the user know what to do in such situation.
- We cannot go back or sign out as some required fields prevent submission of form to go back or sign out.
- User can submit form without putting deposit details (Draft No, Bank Name).
Overall Report / Suggestion (if any):
Overall system is not user friendly and attractive. As there are many difficulties that a user may face during working on the system. These are as following:
- Form’s controls should have a good design and alignment to make the user feel good and easy.
- An issues were found on many sections when we want to go back as some required fields restrict the user from going back until we don’t assign a value in that field(s).
- Navigation from one section to another section (e.g. Research Work to Contact Information) is not working by click the specific section form the top.
- In Select Boxes it is very difficult to find the desired option. There should be a search bar by using the new technology like Bootstrap etc.
- In different sections like academic information & awards etc, to delete our particular record there is a difficult method to select different options. There should be a delete button in the current row to reduce the efforts to select different options to delete.
- While we enter data, there is no validation check on the data to ensure data integrity. As it accept string instead of only numbers in different places. We should use a proper data type and input mask for input controls.
- System is pretty much difficult to use for a user having less technical experties and knowledge regarding online application etc.
