Shop Smart web application is the focus of the project which includes all the required documents, figures and diagrams, chart and table, tool and techniques etc. There is also a server-side component responsible for database services. The project encompasses both server-side and client-side functionalities. So, both aspects are covered in this document.
Shop Smart is a web based personalized shopping portal for apparel customers which provides them all the available data of their interest and will notify them whenever there is a SALE on their selected brands. Customers can register to the portal and select the preferences of brands, type of items and in which they’re interested in. Portal will show them if there is any ongoing sale at their selected brands or not. Portal allows customer to choose specific item i.e. trouser, shirt, sweaters, which they are looking for and provide them facility to filter among all the items of their selected brands. Also if there is not anything available of their choice it will notify them whenever it’s available.
This project is a web based application which is designed to be implemented in Python using Django framework. Metasearching techniques will be used to search the items through other brand sites. Also telecommunication APIs ans SMTP services will be used to send notifications to the users regarding thier favorite shopping items.
Shop Smart will help the user (customers who are interesed to buy apparels) in finding their favorite item in real time by saving thier time for scroll over several brands websites. Also sends them notification on any available sales and items to thier interest
A record of all registered users will be saved in database using MongoDB, also their respective preferneces of items and brands. These brands choices are also to be saved separately. these all functions will be performed at server side which will allow users to get thier required informations.
