Pakistan is facing both power and water crisis, so more hydel power plants are not feasible for a struggling economy. Fossil fuel-based energy is both hazardous for environment and expensive in long term. Climate change is a real threat. The industries need 54% of the world’s total delivered energy. Pakistan a developing nation in dire need of industrial expansion. 90% of Industrial load is Induction Motor. Pakistan has 8 to 9 hours of sunshine per day, ideal for solar power generation. So, the need arises for an efficient solution that would be cost-effective and easier for small-scale production. Our project focuses on one such technology which is Three Phase Solar Inverter Using more advance and efficient Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation algorithm. reduces dependence on conventional energy resources, using cleaner, safer more sustainable energy sources. Use of SVPWM algorithm utilizes 91% DC bus and Line to Line Voltage is 15% more. Other Features include VFD for motor speed control and Maximum Power Point Tracking of PV module.
Project Objectives- Design Three Phase Solar inverter for three phase induction motor.
- To propose a smart, robust and dependable solution that can link PV modules to industrial loads.
- For efficient energy conversion
- And driving industrial load with high performance
- Propose cheaper solution.
Solar Panel is used to charge 12V DC battery with MPPT module.Boost Converter module will boost 12V to 380VDC.High frequency sampling algorithem "Space vector pulse width modulation" is used to convert DC to 3 phase AC using Three phase inverter which is used to derive 3 phase induction motor.
Benefits of the Project- The industrial sector uses more delivered energy than any other end-use sector, consuming about 54% of the world’s total delivered energy.
- In the International Energy Outlook 2016 (IEO2016) Reference case, worldwide industrial sector energy consumption is projected ,to increase by an average of 1.2%/year. Pakistan being a developing nation in dire need of industrial expansion.
- 90% Motor loads (99% of 90% is Induction Motor loads). Remaining 10% are lighting/other loads. (DOE(US), D-ARPA (US))
- Solar panel can be used as energy source for Tube Wells.
