Project Area of Specialization Mechatronics EngineeringProject SummaryA wide range of material cutting and shaping machines are available in the market but when we analyze them closely, they all have material loses and very few of them are portable. Subtractive manufacturing, Milling has become one of the most interesting area of study for researchers now a days. This technology is now applicable in all the fields such as automotive etc.
We are willing to give a low-cost solution of this problem by manufacturing and assembling milling machines here in Pakistan to enhance its efficiency. Its designing and manufacturing includes all the practical knowledge, to implement the concepts of electronics, mechanical, programming, material and manufacturing and industrial automation.
For our desired output, we have tested many designs. Initially, we face many mechanical and electronics relevant challenges but finally, we achieve a success for making a design-simplified and easy to use milling. We have used a simple mechanical, electronics and programming tools so that it will be easy for every individual to operate this milling machine either a person has a technical knowledge or not.
Project ObjectivesWorking on this project includes all the practical concepts which we have learn in theory. Its design phase includes the work in the area of mechanical, electronics and computer programming which can broaden our knowledge and validate the theoretical concepts about multiple areas of engineering.
Project Implementation MethodThe method we followed in this project to achieve our desired goals is as follow, firstly, we design the frame of this milling on CAD (SolidWorks) software, then we will buy all the necessary metal rods and mechanical assembly tools in order to manufacture a frame then we will import the necessary electronics components and assemble them on a frame then adjust the parameters of our project using microcontroller through programming.
Benefits of the ProjectOur CNC machine have the capability to create complex designs with high accuracy in a short amount of time.
We can perform any other work by just changing the tool.

The machine which we are making is small in size so that the customer can take it easily where he wants and do his desired work in any place. The machine is having an option of 3 axis milling so that you do not want to rotate your part. We will make sure that the dimensions which are required by the customers this machine gives that dimension to that workpiece with minimum error.
