Oil and gas industry is the fastest growing industries in the world, with oil being the vital and primary energy source that is required for the proper administration of the state. Many Workers lose their life at Work Area during their job due to some sort of accident or disaster. Those accidents can be caused by anything for example a small spark of fire that can later become disastrous and can cause a big damage. Most of the accidents occurs due to workers negligence. It still requires a lot of time, labor and investment by organizations to provide a better Health and Safety environment for its workers. With the help of Computer Vision and Deep Learning detecting such anomalies or objects and notifying the Health and Safety Environment Officer on Phone through Mobile Application can help prevent such incidents. This System consists of detecting such objects or anomalies in real time which are the cause of such disastrous incidents through computer vision and deep learning techniques can help prevent such incidents. Also Notifying the Health and Safety Officer on Mobile Application whenever a hazardous anomaly or object is detected. | | Project Objectives |
- This system will be able to detect objects and anomalies in real time which are the cause of incidents at Oil and Gas Field.
- This system will detect hazardous objects and will notify the Safety Officer of Organization on Mobile Phone.
- The system will be detecting such objects at an early stage so that an early action can be taken against it and such disastrous events can be prevented.
- An alert or warning will be displayed on users’ system whenever a hazardous object is being detected.
- User will also receive notification on Mobile Phone on detecting hazardous object.

- First, we will train our system to identify hazardous objects in real time with the help of YOLO Object Detection Model.
- A set of images of hazardous objects or anomalies will be collected and labeled.
- Then after that we will be training our model to identify or detect such objects in real time using cameras.
- After that a Google Firebase Server will be configured for sending and receiving notifications.
- After the model is trained, we will be developing our program which will be detecting objects in real time and will be able to send notifications on mobile app as push notification on detecting objects/anomalies.
- Then a Mobile App will be developed which will receive notification whenever a hazardous object or anomaly is detected.

- Number of incidents will be reduced on detecting such anomalies or objects which can cause damages.
- Workers will be provided a Safer work environment.
- Cost can be reduced that is spent yearly on safety of workers or in case of any incident.
- Such anomalies or objects can be detected at early stages so that an early action can be taken against it by notifying the HSE Officer.
- Can be used for many other fields like Safe City Project, Military, Fire Fighting, etc.
| | Technical Details of Final Deliverable |
Final deliverables consist of two main components: - A desktop application that can detect anomalies and objects in real time and will be display warning or alert on systems screen whenever a hazardous object or anomaly is detected or incase of any incidents. The same program will be sending notifications to the Users Mobile Phone through Push Notification service.
- Second component, consists of a Mobile Application that will be receiving notifications whenever a hazardous object or anomaly is being detected.
