Electric vehicles are set to play a critical role in the clean energy future, but in order for everyone to reap the benefits of EVs, they’ll need access to chargers. The way charging stations are spread out now is neither equitable nor convenient for many low-income communities. This project presents a smart, flexible and safe Docking Station where EVs will be wirelessly charged. An autonomous model is designed to charge different models of EVs from the same charging station using the phenomenon of RFID (Radio Frequency identification). Wireless inductive charging method is utilized which allows an electric vehicle [EV] to automatically charge without the need of cables. The use of flat circular coils as transmitter and receiver for Wireless power transmission (WPT) is used. Renewable Solar energy source (PV Panel) is used to charge the batteries at day time and at night an AC source is used. This way the problem of accessibility is tackled along with safety and reliability.

Project Objectives
  1. Wireless inductive charging allows an electric vehicle [EV] to automatically charge without the need of cables. We are using the flat circular coils as transmitter and receiver for Wireless power transmission (WPT).
  2. Renewable Solar energy source (PV Panel) is used to charge the batteries at day time and at night an AC source is used. The batteries are connected to inverters which will then be used for WPT.
  3. To devising a smart, flexible and safe Docking Station where we will wirelessly charge different brands and different models of EVs from the same charging system by using RFID tags
Project Implementation Method

It consists of two parts first one is wireless charging and second one is the Docking station. The electric vehicle which contain batteries for its power and on which the comple Receving module and receiving Coils is implanted, when reaches at the docking station, the IR-module installed in the docking station sence the arival of vehicle then the RFID setup identifies the type of vehicle and the Transmission Coil is lifted to desired hight with help of electric Jack and ultrasonic sensor which looks for specified diatance between Transmittor Nad receivor Coils. After this precess happens the transmittor module supplies power and at the receiving end Batteries of electric vehicle begins to charge.

Benefits of the Project

This project hits majourly the EV's industry with the benefits of safe and reliable charging of electric vahicles wirelessly. it is a universal charging station which means every kind of electric vehicle supporting wireless charging can be charged easily from it. it avoids the use of special connectors for specific vehicle types also it reduce the long traffic at charging stations for vehicle charging. A person can establish is own setup of wireless EV charging and avoid the costly charging at the dedicated charging stations. the addition of Solar Source at the supply side makes this process in economical range. one majour benefit is the advancement and progress in wireless electricity transmission field.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The final deliverable will be a universal wireless-charging docking station meant for electric vehicles employing an advanced wireless power transmission technology.
