This project includes the electronic wheelchair that is going to be implemented for disabled person who cannot walk. The purpose of this eye ball controlled wheelchair is to eliminate the assistance required for the disabed person. In this system i am controlling the wheelchair by eye movement and central switch . A good resolution camera will be mounted on wheelchair in front of the person, for capturing the images of eyes and tracking the position of eye pupil by using any image processing techniques using matlab platform. According to eye pupil position of disabled person, motor will be moved in required direction such as left, right, backward and forward. I am also using ultrasonic sensor that will be mounted in front of wheelchair for safety to detect static obstacle or mobile barriers and to stop the wheelchair movement automatically.  A central button switch will also be mounted on wheelchair handle for emergency purpose and to stop movement in require direction if any one call to stop and someone require attention on themselves . This will be independent and cost effective wheelchair system. An arduino board will be used to control whole system.

Project Implementation Method

A good resolution camera will be mounted on wheelchair in front of the person, for capturing the images of eyes and tracking the position of eye pupil by using any image processing techniques using matlab platform. Images will be captured using camera accessed through MATLAB, the images will processed in MATLAB and a decision will be taken, according to the decision information will be send to the microcontroller using Bluetooth, and accordingly it will ON/OFF the dc motors.
