Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryGrab-a-bite is a cross-platform and online application for ordering food which aims to provide a lot of job opportunity, hygienic food and also home-made food at your door step and save users from the hassle of going out to buy food. Our application contains different portal for admin, customer, vendor and delivery person which ease people to order food and as well as become vendor or delivery person. Our application is very useful since we hold a notion to provide jobs for a lot of job-less people through it. Our application is user friendly as well since we want our app to be easily useable for people who are not well-educated.
Project Objectives- Our motivation is to learn the skill of development and start our own start up. Our motivation is to make an application which provides jobs to many jobless people especially those who want to make a living without having to leave their houses (due to any reasons).
- Psychologically customers aren't ready to pay high delivery charges on food. Money goes into giving heavy discounts to allure new customers and recruit new delivery staff. Our goal is building a smart software system that is able to route the incoming orders precisely to the right delivery drivers in the neighborhood. It should be smart enough to compensate for it by adjusting rates on other orders, to push the overall profitability for the company in the positive

Our Website on react and android/iOS on react native. Our application will have 4 portals, optimized map, notifying user of delivery status, multi-vendors, multi user, rating of customer and vendor. We need different portals because every portal has different requirement.
- Customer Portal: Make ID, Login, select area, Select the vendor and vendors are arranged by rating, select from menu, add to cart, Confirm the location to deliver, get quick fare estimation and order. Can also edit and rate vendor and delivery person. If customer cancel the order, negative amount would be added to its account which will be deducted in next time. Customer can keep live track of the delivery person.
- Vendor Portal: Make ID, Login, Create menu and upload. User can edit its own information and also see his own sale report.
- Delivery Portal: Make ID, Login, get order from nearest vendor. User can also edit its own information and also see ride history.
- Admin Panel: Admin can add, update, delete or ban any vendor or customer or delivery person. Admin can edit its own information. Admin can keep track of all the detail of vendors, customer and delivery person and can see report of sale.
Payment System: Customer can pay through credit card and cash on delivery. Through credit card, Customer can add money to its account after authentication and verification. Cash on Delivery, Customer will pay to the delivery person and it will deliver to vendor.
