This project explains the execution of a weapon detection system.Due to the increase theft and criminal activities which gradually effects the economy and well being of our society and human life.This system needs to detect weapons concealed under clothing or any material.This system is designed using a MMW camera and image processing.This system is designed to work in real time environment.

Phase-III
1.Full-Body Scan
The MMW camera will first scan the human in the booth the camera should support above average resolution to make it more efficient.
2.Image Processing
The System will then use the passive mmw method to detect the weapon radiation and identify the person as a criminal hiding a weapon,Once the scan is positive it will lock the entrance door keeping the criminal inside.
3.System Call
A alert and alarm will be generated to the nearest security dept for assistance and will be display the live footage of the booth to the display LCD screen for keeping eye on the criminal.
4.Safe Case
If there is no weapon the indoor entrance will unlock letting the person in the shop.
5.Secuirty Assistance
The raspberry pi will act as a portable system for generating alert for security dept,and the main system will handle image processing and door lock mechanism.
Phase-1V
Python programming
We will be using python programong using python 3 compiler as it is more object oriented and predefined syntax.It is more easier to maintain it hence cost is reduced.
Java will be used for the android app for the management purpose on the tablet using NDK development kits.
Phase-V
Completion
Upon successfully implementing above phases and testing we will then have our final project for detecting weapons hidden underneath clothing and to prevent crimes.
The project is initially using some of the hardware and comunicate using Raspberry Pi 3. The embedded software in Raspberry Pi will itself fetch/recieve data from camera sensors using an Arduino. The Arduino Uno will run the image processing through realtime basis hence all this can be managed on a tablet or displayed even.The embedded software system on the Raspberry Pi has the following interfaces:
