Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryThe project is Water trash Collector that works on water surface for collecting floating trash. Water surface can be pools and ponds. By using image processing to detect trash and collect it into wastage part which is connected to the machine.Moreover, we made an application on android studio to control machine via our app. In our application we have two modes manual and auto mode. In Manual mode, we move machine thorugh navigation button which are forward, left, right, backward. In automode machine moves automatically by pressing Go button.
Project ObjectivesThe object of this project is clean the amount of waste which we have found floating on different bodies of water like Swimming pools, ponds. It aims to ensure health safety of both people and water species. Moreover, maintaining the views and to maintain healthy environment.
Project Implementation MethodWe use Solar panel to charge battery. We use raspberry pie to control machine via python algorithm for motors and conveyer belt and water temperature. We are using 4 DC motors 2 motors for wheels and 2 use for conveyer belt, by using DC motors we can move trash machine in all directions and also use to move conveyer belt. We using PVC foam board for waste box. We also showing the water temperature on that application by using temperature sensor DS18B20.This temperature is used for measuring water temperature. We using servo motor for camera. We make an android application on android studio java to control our machine.
Benefits of the ProjectOur project will provide easy cleaning water without tiring for cleaners and without putting risk on water species by manually cleaning water.
