Warehouse Automation Robot
Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryOur Robot has advanced features.
We can control our robot by both automatic and mobile control mode.
If there is an obstacle in our robot's path,it then follows the other path to reach the designated place.
Therefore our Robot will reach its destination sooner than the pre-existing robot.
Our robot will first scan the code placed on the object before lifting it up.
If the code matches then the robot will lift the object otherwise it will not lift it.
Project ObjectivesOur objective is to develop an autonomous robot that can pick various objects in the warehouse environment.
The system will be designed to pick up the item o maximum (1-2)kg weight from a shelf and place the picked item at the designated place.
Project Implementation MethodOur Robot will consists of two modes
Auto mode and Mobile Control Mode
In the auto mode we will made our project a line follower by using the IR sensors and ultrasonic sensor.
In the mobile control mode we will control our system by using mobile phone.
Apart from the arduino, which is the ma8n controlling module of the system, there are two important modules that are used to implement the system.
They are bluetooth module and l298 Motor driver.
Benefits of the ProjectSocial Aspect:
This project can be used at wraehouses homes for picking and placing some objects from one place to another.
Economic Aspect:
Repeating the same process ends up increasing the labor costs.
Environmental Aspect:
As the proposed system does not use any type of foasil fuel so it is pollution free.
Future aspect:
Just as averything is moving towards automation in the future, thia system also has auto mode.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe+5v and GND pins of the Bluetooth Module are connected to +5v and GND of arduino. Since we are transmitting tha data related to the robot's movement from android phone to the bluetooth module and do not intend to receive and date from the Arduino.wel will connect only TX pin of the Bluetooth module to RX pin of the Arduino.
In the android app we have 5 keys as forward, backward, left, right and stop.
Upon pressing the key the corresponding data is transmitted to the bluetooth module from the phone over bluetooth communication
The Arduino UNO receives the data from the bluetooth module (as per the key pressed) and performs a simple switching operation, where each case is associated with repective instructions for the motor driver input pins.
