So we are going to design a system which will be helpful for us to solve the above problems, The system will detect the accident and send the details to respond centre, Details will consist of exact location where an accident occurs, The exact side of the vehicle on which accident occur, Severity of the accident and an internal image of the vehicle. The image will help us in identifying the injured passengers and also it will show us the numbers of passengers so ambulance and other facilities will be provided according to the scenario
Project Objectives Project Objectives:- To develop an algorithm that sends a picture of onboard passengers to respond centre to know about the number of passengers also it will be helpful in identifying the injured passengers.
- To detect the exact side of the vehicle on which accident occur i.e. Accident occurs from the front, back, right or left side?
- To know about the severity of the accident.
- To detect the exact location where the accident occurs.
- To alert respond centre quickly.
In this project, Raspberry-Pi and Arduino MEGA are used which is the main part of the project.
When all the doors of the vehicle become close Raspberry-pi will take a picture of onboard passengers and save it in the memory, Raspberry-pi will wait for the accident as the accident occurs it will send all the details of the accident along with the picture of the onboard passenger to the response centre.
How the accident will be detected?
when an accident occurs the force sensor(FSR/ SEN-09375) will give the signal to Arduino, Arduino will fetch data from GPS, Start calculating the severity of accident & detect the exact side of the vehicle on which accident occurs and forward all these details to Raspberry-pi.
- The most important benefit of this project is to save Human life
- The system will make ease for respond team to provide first aid and ambulance according to the number of passengers.
- It will provide an excellent notification system to respond team(rescue or police).
- This project will play an important role in the technology world it can overcome the issue of lack of an automated system for the detection of an accident.
- Also if we look to this project on business aspects it may be beneficial for a person or company.
A system which will detect an accident and send the details to the respond centre through a mail.
The main equipment which is used in this project is Raspberry-Pi, Pi-Camera, Arduino MEGA, FSR sensors, GPS and accelerometer. The authorized department can access server information via a web portal. Each user has own username and password. So the manipulation of accessing other data very less and the security is very high. The user can retrieve the information in real time as well as offline also. The thing speaks server is using the best-fit algorithm for storing the data. The proposed architecture effectively utilizes the memory space.
