Project Area of Specialization Software EngineeringProject SummaryOur Project name is “Travelogue”. Travelogue will allow a tourist to explore the beauty of Pakistan. It will provide a tourist to view all the tourism spots in Pakistan. It will also provide the people to visit the religious places as Pakistan has mostly all the religions sacred Places. It will provide the best and short available roots to the tourists for the selected tourist spot. It will also allow the tourist to check the live weather update of his desired visiting spot.
In Travelogue the hotel will register itself first and then they will add room prices along with room details like pictures and videos. It will also provide to add filters for room prices range. The hotel rooms will be shown to the users according to their budget with the help of filters. In addition to hotel facilities the hotel will also upload their dinning menus along with prices.
In “Travelogue” our main goal is to give the tourist the pleasure of selecting the tourism spot wherever he wants to go will be just a few clicks away and without any burden of cost. Travelogue is a web based flat form as well as a android/IOS based Application.
We’ll keep you updated with latest events and activities related to tourism in country and or events held by Pakistan’s government itself for the promotion of tourism.
Project Objectives- Promote and develop the tourism industry by involving both the private and public sectors.
- Gradually and systematically identify and develop all the existing and potential areas for attracting domestic and international tourists.
- Creating a website that will have different modules such as hotel, restaurants and foods and places to visit.
- Best and shortest route to the desired visiting spot of a tourist.
- Live weather update of selected place.
- Hotel accommodation with respect to the tourist’s budget.
In this project we will follow incremental process model because we are clear about our requirements and we will do this in small increments.
Benefits of the ProjectPakistan is located in the South of Asia Continent. It is known as the tourist hotspot for adventures, explorers and religious sites. Pakistan being a land of high adventure, diverse cultural, rich historical heritage and un-parallel natural beauty attracts thousands of tourist from all over the world each year. “Travelogue” comes with an idea in mind to promote tourism in Pakistan and spread knowledge about tourism opportunities in Pakistan to the people from inside and outside the country.

It can generate significant economic activity through linkages with other industries, such as agriculture, manufacturing and services. Backward linkages occur as tourism demands goods and services inputs from other sectors. Forward linkages arise since tourism can also be a supplier of goods and services of other sectors. The tourism industry has undergone rapid growth unsurpassed nature over the last several decades .This has mainly been due to the advent of a ‘borderless’ world and increase information dissemination about the majestic sceneries throughout the world , with the Pakistan northern region being no exception . Tourism management system proves to be a strong system which has followed all the industrial standards. This study first discusses on the necessity of the construction of tourism information service system, and then introduces the related technology in detail which are needed to build the system , such as Web technology ,PHP development language MySQL technology , etc .Then it specifies the construction of the tourism information service system ,which includes the business requirements of tourism information service , the goal of tourism information service system , functional and nonfunctional requirements , performance requirement and running conversation requirement . Finally it describe the architectural design of the tourist information service system which has a certain applied and extensible value.
