Hieroglyph, meaning “sacred carving,” is a Greek translation of the Egyptian phrase “the god's words,”?The project is about translating Egyptian hieroglyphics using deep learning. This app can be used by tourists who love visiting Egypt or are interested in hieroglyphs. There is no such application that translates hieroglyphs using deep learning. However, Google has created an app named FABRICIUS which is basically a tool that uses the power of AI to help decode ancient languages on machine learning 

Project Objectives

Historians today believe that the ancient Egyptians developed the hieroglyphic script and other scripts in response to the need for an accurate and reliable way to record and communicate information connected with religion, government, and record-keeping. Different types of information were recorded using different scripts. The objective of the project is to translate the hieroglyphics accurately. 

Project Implementation Method

Deep learning is a subset of machine learning in artificial intelligence that has networks capable of learning unsupervised from data that is unstructured or unlabeled. Hence in this project, we will use the power of deep learning to work on unsupervised data and training datasets to translate any Egyptian hieroglyph. The project will be on PyCharm IDE. The algorithm is yet to be decided but most likely we will be using CNN (Convolutional  Neural Network)algorithm. Also, SQL lite and Android will be used. After input of the image CNN algorithm will process the raw data and will bring the most accurate translation of the input image. Hence the image will be translated according to the input given. 

Benefits of the Project

Our project will be a unique project that will hopefully translate the words which are unknown by the means of deep learning. Furthermore, we will hopefully make it easier for users to understand and read hieroglyphs of any pattern.

Our venture will be a remarkable task that will ideally interpret the words which are obscure by the methods for profound learning. Furthermore, we will ideally make it simpler for clients to comprehend and peruse symbolic representations of an example.
