Project Area of Specialization Information & Communication TechnologyProject SummaryThe goal of the system would help to gather divergent elements (individual etc.) With a platform and would yield the optimum product through sharing and interactions of the latent potential existing in the society and to promote social awareness among people around.
The project aims to provide a platform where people can interact with each other, share their resources (both for free and voluntarily or for exhange of currency or services) and help each other. It enables the nearby users to share resources (such as rides, food), respond to emergency alerts and ask for help. A ride sharing service to users travelling to the same destination and divide its cost. A platform to meet new people, share experiences and arrange a lunch/dinner together. And provide the user to participate in sports activities and find people with same interest in sports.
Project ObjectivesThe overall aim of the project is to provide opportunities for consumers to share latent potentials existing in the community, mutually. The specific objectives are as follows:
1. Provide a ride sharing service to users travelling to the same destination and divide its cost.
2. Provide a way of interaction for nearby users to share resources, respond to emergency alerts and ask for help.
3. Provide a platform to meet new people, share experiences and arrange a lunch/dinner together.
4. Provide the user to participate in sports activities and find people with same interest in sports.
5. Provide an effective way to develop social skills by interacting and mutually helping each other.
6. Provide notification about emergency alerts and group activity updates to the users.
7. Trace and keep a record of each activity and users involved in it.
Our project has various components which can be categorized into three main Modules:
i. Resource Sharing Module
ii. Notifications and Alert Module

This is output module where user will be notified about events
- User will be notified about on-going or upcoming social events like community dinner/lunch
- Users can share their experiences about the dangers present in locality
- Users can organize or participate in social get-togethers
- Users can help out new comers of locality by sharing their experience about best local food points, recreational points and play grounds etc.
In comparison to the developed societies, our societies lack some specific values which shortly need improvement. The creation of “Community sense” is an individual’s contribution and sense of duty towards the society. Developing this software (study), we are actually making efforts to infuse the said sense through an innovative pattern of sharing and interacting and hence creating coordination among society members. This mechanism can be viewed in the prospect of future e-vision application and enhanced dependency upon digital tools and in turn realization of “Digital mutation” in the upcoming generation. The idea of this kind of micro sharing would not only meet the optimum needs of society members, but can also prove highly thrifty by sharing socially available potential. It will put an individual into an interactive mode that will be influential for other society members.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe system is a combination of web application and android application.
Web Application:
The web application provides the users an interactive interface to register and login into the system. The web application provides registered users a personal dashboard and personal calendar to manage their ratings, view comments and past history.
Android Application
The android application will provide registered users to access to community sharing, food buddies, recreational sharing and ride sharing.
