To Stabilize an Inherently Unstable Platform using active control
Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryIn this project we are making a working model of how to stabilize some object using active control. Active control is a method where we use force in the form of DC Motors or Pnumetics and Hydrolics to perform a specified task.
Here we are taking date from a gyro sensor about the inclination of the table and then DC motor Linear actuators are used to tilt the table in any direction the stabilize it.
Project Objectivesthe objective of the project are to make a working model of a platform which can stabilize it self while tilted at 10 degrees in elevation and declination.
the working model should withstand a mass of an average person (75Kg) for testing purporse
it shoul be easy to operate and take less time to stabilize its self.
the project can be implemented on a car for keeping the car leveled in case of any steap path. the model can be impimented to keet monitering and leveling tools for civil engineering survey purpose.
sea vesseles and air crafts are also stabilized using this method.
Benefits of the Projectthe poroject will help us to easily and accurately balance and unbalanced platfrom and using less power and time
and avoid the mess of adjusting aur machinery using spirit level and adjusting screws.
Technical Details of Final Deliverablethe final model of the project is a table with dimensions of 700*700mm and a height of about 500mm, It can withstand a weight of about 75 kilograms and it can andust its inclination of about 5 degrees per second.
the mtors take a current of maimum 1Amp at 12 volts
