It is a model smart factory based on Industry 4.0. It comprises of IoT and integrated technology to operate an effective factory providing the quality of product. This factory is designed to specifically produce juice bottles which produced through this factory. The major aspects covered I the Smart Factory are; inventory management, manufacturing, quality control and packaging. It is expected that it will improve the performance, quality, controllability, management and transparency of manufacturing processes.

Project Implementation Method

The scope of the project covers the design, procurement, fabrication, testing and improvements of the Smart Factory. Following are the description of each phase;

  1. Design: Development of plans, bill of material and drawings for the smart factory
  2. Procurements: Purchasing of equipment required for the stations in the smart factory
  3. Fabrication: Installation of equipment and completing them as a smart factory
  4. Testing: Running of factory to check its function and evaluating the performance parameters
  5. Improvements: Final improvements for the better results and productivity
Benefits of the Project

The keen benefits of the projects are:

1. It will integrate hardware and software.

2. it will reduce the efforts of a human labor by fetching real time data through iot and cloud based integration.

3. the model smart factory overall reduces the machine time for making  a product as it is automated that ultimately increases the productivity and accuracy.

4.  Paving a way for industries of Pakistan to opt for Industry 4.0 in future by giving them a model to understand the importance of it.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Expected outcome is a model smart factory with the integrated components for the productivity. It will produce both hardware and software deliverable. The Hardware deliverable will be in the form of the factory whereas, the software side will be the dashboard the integration system.
