tilt sensor for trunnion gun
Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject Summarywe have to design a sensor system that measures the tilt angle -+15 degrees. this tilt sensor should be designed for heavy machinery and should be accurate. we have to show simulation in software as well as in hardware. our main goal is to build a unique inclinometer that is sustainable for a long time and it should be rugged for use in armed vehicles.
Project Objectivesour objective is to design a tilt sensor system that is a precise gravity referenced servo inclinometer that can be used for a wide variety of industrial and military applications. this system should be rugged and sustainable. it should have excellent temperature insensitivity and it should be shock and vibration resistant.
Project Implementation Methodhigh precision 2 axis (x and y) gravity referenced servo inclinometers suitable for both military and industrial applications. implementation will be demonstrated on software as well as the hard form will be checked on reference desk systems
Benefits of the Projectthe benefits of this project are as follows:
1.Level control of machines and structures.
2. Safety control of cranes and lifting equipment.
3. Civil engineering studies
4. military applications.
Technical Details of Final Deliverablethe final deliverables of our fyp project are as follows:
1. Fully self-contained - connect to a DC power source and a readout or control device for a complete operating system.
2. High-level DC output signal proportional to the sine of the angle of tilt.
3. ±14.5° range.
4, Total electrical isolation between axes.
5.High accuracy specification Input voltage ±15 VDC; output signal ±5 VDC.
