Project Summary

An approach to reduce the cost of widely used equipment i.e. Three Phase Power Analyzer, by almost 70% - 80%.
Idea is to produce a computer based application which will analyze the power parameters. That application will be build on LabView. That LabView Application (.vi) will then be converted into an executable (.exe) file for deployment puposes.
To provide portability to our project we will be using "Single Board Computers (SBC)". We're planning to use LattePanda/RaspberryPi to make our device standalone.

Project Implementation Method

  4. Converting .vi file to an .exe file
  5. Deployment of .exe file to the SBC (LattepPanda/RaspberryPi)

  7. Producing an overall integerated package

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Data will be acquired using Arduino Mega 2560. Acquired data will then be analyzed through the Virtual Instrument (.vi) file. That application will be deployed to the SBC for portability.

This Three Phase Power Analyzer will be able to analyze and show following power parameters:

  1. True/Real Power
  2. Reactive Power
  3. Appaprent Power
  4. Power Factors

This device will be able to record and send power data using an excel spreadsheet.

As LabView is pretty much fimiliar software it will be easy to update our device.
