This project is about an online therapy application for special people, creating a bridge between the doctor and the patient. The targeted audience is the general public and the doctors/therapists. The application will be developed in Android.
 

Project Objectives

The application provides simple mechanism for users to take therapy sessions. According to Pakistan Bureau of statistics 2.49% of Pakistan’s population is disabled. The mentally disabled share a large percentage of population in them. It is really a critical problem for the people who do not live in cities so that they need to travel miles long for the therapy sessions. So, it becomes an attractive research in software engineering community. The application will be able to provide online therapy for the special people with mental disabilities. It will develop the ability in special children to join the mainstream schools. The application will facilitate the special people through interactive sessions.

Project Implementation Method

The product “Therapify” is an android based open source application. It require a person to have an android device and a robust action system to run android studio. The system will store the user data in the back end server using SQL Lite. Back end logic will be maintained using Java and the fron designing will be done through XML.

Benefits of the Project

The application will be able to provide online therapy for the special people with mental disabilities. It will develop the ability in special children to join the mainstream schools. The application will facilitate the special people through interactive sessions. The users are not required to travel long distances to meet their therapist. In this pandemic situation everyone requires this kind of service.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The person who will use the product requires and android phone to run the application. A stable internet is required by the user to establish a stable connection between patient and therapist.
