Project Implementation Method
Ultrasonic sensors measure distance by ultrasonic waves.Raspberry Pi is a microcontroller.It is a low cost computer.GPS module is used to know the current location.GSM module is used to contact to mobile numbers.Camera is used to take obstacle pictures,which are compared with samples by using image processing.
The proposed system is very useful and relevant for blind persons.
The system is having special features like obstacle monitoring and picture scanning which makes the person’s daily life much easier.
By using this proposed system it’s much easier for them to do their activities and can easily go anywhere.
If the blind person wants to know their current location they can press the switch assigned for that purpose.
If the blind person also wants some help during emergency,a call or message is sent to a set of mobile numbers stored in a system.
The obstacle detection range is 3-5 meter.
