Mostly in a long drive, drivers feel drowsiness during driving may cause a serious accident. The System generates alert for the driver when it detects drowsiness from a facial expression of the driver. Also, it detects any unusual activity during driving, such as usage of Mobile Phone, Sleeping, Drunk & Drive, Distraction, etc and also driver see their unusual activity in mobile application.
Project ObjectivesNowadays the driver safety in the car is one of the most wanted system to avoid accidents.Our objective of the project is to ensure the safety system.For enhancing the safety.We are detecting the unusual activity of the driver and estimating the driver state and control the car accordingly through alert the driver
Project Implementation MethodA project may be divided into four major phases as follows.
- Design Phase
- Firstly we will collect different datasets of driver activities and train our model.
- Setting up hardware to run the code and return results for the alert.
- Develop our mobile app to record and maintain analytics.
- Implementation Phase
- Firstly, we implement it on a software
- Then after software implementation is completed we deploy it to hardware and on the car.
- Testing Phase
- Testing on software.
- Testing on hardware.
- Deploy in a car and test.
- Lastly, we test completely using software, hardware, and mobile app.
- Evaluation Phase
We will provide timing charts and graphs for the unusual activity of drivers using a mobile phone app
Benefits of the ProjectThe problem we found that mostly accident occurs because of irresponsible driving of the driver. If the driver (feels drowsiness, takes drug or alcohol, usage of mobile, reaching for an object) during driving then he or she will not focus on the road. As a result, the driver faces a serious accident.For this project we save the driver life.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable- Detecting facial expressions of driver (i.e. downiness, sleeping, alcoholic)
- Detecting driver if he or she using mobile phone.
- Detecting mood of driver (i.e. angry, sad, and happy).
- Generate an alert when find any unusual activity.
- Vibrate driver seat when find any unusual activity.
- Blink LED light when find any unusual activity.
- Start Voice Assistant Bot which active driver to focus on road.
