In our country the problem we commonly face is that any person who have gone missing is not being given attention to a level where he should be. Our authorities ignore such cases and consider it as there least priority. People are reluctant to read the posters of missing people. Therefore the Missing Alerts which will be generated by default to everyone having phones (Mobile App) and can’t be ignored for sure as it will be generated with an unusual sound. Missing Alerts will be generated to the people of the city where the person will go missing. Like if someone is being abducted in Karachi, all the citizens having phones will get this alert about the missing person and will be asked to update the responsible sectors if they find any information about it. This application will make it far easier and successful to find the missing people than we ever had in these past years. As still a lot of people are not being located over the years and no one takes responsibility of it as many of us are not even aware of such cases. Project Objectives

We chose this project because the problem that we faced uptil now in locating people has no better solution till today. We are always relying on the police departments to solve such cases and these cases are not being given attention unless its not a high profile case. Therefor for every common man who want to file a complain and let the authorities and everyone know that they are searching  for their missing family member and need help from not just the responsible authorities but also the masses. Instead of putting posters on the walls which nobody reads they can now spread there complains through Missing Alert System. This will help them find their loved ones as fast as they can. So if you look around your society you won’t find any possible solution for such issues but Missing Alert System can be a big help to our people. The main reason to work on this idea is to bring a change for good in our country and resolve this very important issue of our people.

Project Implementation Method

1. Design Phase

Description of the proposed solution  is that we will be creating a Mobile Application and a Website for the user side where they can sign up and login into their accounts. Register their complains. Inform the responsible authority about the missing person. Provide information regarding it. Upload evidence on it. Keep record of their complains or the other complains as well in which they are helping the authority to find a missing person. On the other hand for the admin side we’ll be creating a Desktop Application through which the admin can either deny the complains registered on certain basis which can be insufficient proofs, irrelevant complain or unauthentic evidences so that it may prevent the fake Missing Alerts issue as well. Or they can accept the complains if found authentic and verified and further will generate the Missing Alerts. The sole purpose of this project is that we want to make it a project which will make a difference in the society on a certain level. As up till now this thing has not been implemented in our country and is one of the needs of our country keeping up the situation of law and order in our mind.  

2. Implementation Phase

It is going to be a software based project where authentic body will  be handling the user as well as the admin side completely through software implementation. We’ll work on Java Script and its frameworks. MangoDB which is classified as NoSQL database program will be implemented on server side and will be hosted through one of the cloud hosting services.

3. Testing Phase

On our side we’ll do the white box testing where we’ll see if the data is being fetched correctly from the database and also if the data is stored perfectly. We’ll test the code if it is being run correctly and no error is interrupting the successful compilation of the code. And for user end we’ll be testing it through black box testing where we’ll see if the user side is perfectly working and nothing is being missed out from data to its functionality.

???????4. Evaluation Phase

We are going to present a software demonstration of our project and will be evaluating it by generating Missing Alerts in the phones of the users.

Benefits of the Project

Since this project has not been implemented in Pakistan therefore it is completely a new application for our country and its people. The benefits of this project are:

1. It will become much easier to inform every person in the entire city or district about the missing person and will make it much more easiert to find the person.

2. Verified alerts will be generated which will inform the guradian and the respective authoirties as well to stay updated about the status of the missing person and his/her case.

3. Instead of visitng certain police stations and waiting for months to get the case solved. Or instead of putting poster on a wall where no one pay attention to such cases. A common man will find it easier to provide information about his/her loved one to mass who could help him to relocate the missing person.

4. Cases which used to be solved in months or weren't solved at all may get done in weeks or days as not just a certain searching team will be solving the case but the whole mass ill be aware about the missing person and could report to the respective authentic body about that person.

5 . It's a socially beneficial project as none of the apps have been made which work in this way for the missing person issue. 

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The technical side of the project is as follows :

For Mobile Application (User) : Node JS and Express JS at back-end. React Native and Material UI at front-end.

For Website (User) : Node JS and Express JS at back-end, React JS and Bootstrap at front-end

For Desktop Application (Admin) : Node JS and Express JS at back-end and Electron JS at front-end.

For Server Side: MangoDB and AWS for cloud hosting.
