Safety is a top priority. We believe that safety is not about numbers, it is about behavior and a shared belief that any accident is one too many.  

An increasing number of crimes against women has planted seeds of fear in the minds of people. These fears ultimately result in the imposition of deadlines and strict rules which every woman has to comply with, willingly or unwillingly. Instead of bringing confidence in a young woman, these rules gradually turn them into meek being's incapable of facing the outside world.  

A society defined by patriarchal norms and structure inequalities keeps women and girls on the margins of the society and hinders women participation in public and political spheres. Yet women participation in decisions related to peace and security is essential to peacebuilding and post conflict reconstruction. 

This brief examines the challenges in implementing the women,peace and security framework in Pakistan.

Social norms against women coming into close contact with unrelated men, and the discomfort, social stigma, and fear of harassment when they do so, limits women’s movement in public.

 This constrains their choices to participate in the labour force, continue their education, or engage in other independent activities.

To alleviate fears of family members and to help a woman move around with confidence, entrepreneurs have rolled out apps for women’s safety. which will act as a security guard for the woman, protecting them in every situation.

TAHAFFUZ  

  Ensuring the safety of women in the country has become more important because of the rising security issues. The Pakistan Government has taken several measures, the technology has made its contribution too. 

To overcome the safety issues, we are introducing the TAHAFFUZ app.

Project Objectives

OBJECTIVES  

 

“TAHAFFUZ” is an application to provide security to women, where the user can register themselves in order to use this app. The goals of this project is as follows: 

 

• Provide mental satisfaction to family members. 

• To give confidence to women. 

• It provides you guidelines of how to protect yourself in critical situations. 

• It also allows you to share your real-time location via GPS tracking, with your friends or family. 

• Our purpose is to explore education. 

• The app has a user-friendly interface and is pretty easy to use. 

• It is a secure 24x7 available app.  

Project Implementation Method

  FEATURES  

 

• MAP:   This feature provides your exact location instantly.  

• BUTTON:    There is a PANIC button, which when pushed, instantly sends an alert to all the numbers you put on the emergency contact, as well as the police. 

• ALERT MESSAGE:  It sends an alert message along with your location to your contacts at the press of one button. Another added advantage is that App would also be able to respond to volume button events in the background when it's not running in the foreground using background service. 

• SHAKING: It just requires you to shake your smartphone, which will send an emergency SOS message or place a call instantly to the registered numbers. 

• GUIDELINES: When you are offline you can access these guidelines to learn self-protection and how to act in panic situations. 

• TRIVIA : A quizzing game involving obscure facts, or pieces of information of little importance or value.. 

We are going to use all thses and much more features in our app to make sure it will satisfy and provide comfort to our users.

We will implement all these by using some languages and tools.

PROBLEM STATEMENT 

 

1. Lack of effective safety management system.

2. Women are exposed to danger.

3. Large numbers of accidents lead to a higher degree of danger in danger situations.

 

  Solution:

 

1. To build a security system to give confidence to women.

2. A security system that is totally based on Android Application.

3. It also provides self defense to help women escape in critical circumstances.

Benefits of the Project

This appliance allows the user to move freely and to tell their family members about their emergency situations.

Java

Sublime Text 

Sublime Text is a shareware cross-platform source code editor with a Python application programming interface (API). XAMPP

XAMPP stands for Cross-Platform (X), Apache (A), MariaDB (M), PHP (P) and Perl (P). It is a simple, lightweight Apache distribution that makes it extremely easy for developers to create a local web server for testing and deployment purposes.

Google API

The Google API stands for 'Application Programmable Interface', which is an interface that allows you to seamlessly integrate your software with Google services.              The Google APIs can pull data from and/or automate features of Google Services like Google Analytics, Adwords, YouTube and more.

Android Studio

It is the official integrated development environment (IDE) for Google's Android operating system, built on JetBrains' IntelliJ IDEA software and designed specifically for Android development. It is available for download on Windows, macOS and Linux based operating systems.
