Synthesis and Characterization of Green Silver Nanoparticles using Aloe Vera as Stabilizing agent and investigation of antimicrobial properties
In recent years, nanotechnology is considered as one of the enticing fields in science for the researchers. Nanotechnology administers nanoparticles of size ranging from 1-100 nm. There is a tremendous use of nanoparticles due to their miniature size, orientation and substantial properties. By means of different physical, chemical, and biological approaches, these petite particles can easily be prepared. However, the biological approach is majorly an emerging technique for preparation of nanoparticles, because this method is much less complicated in comparison with other approaches because it is much less time consuming, and more importantly eco-friendly. Green synthesis of nanoparticles was carried out by mixing an aqueous solution of leaf extract of Aloe barbadensis miller (aloe vera) and silver nitrate AgNO3 solution.Silver has particular significance to this procedure due to its evocative chemical and physical properties. Plant extract and metal ion solutions were mixed together in a fixed ratio and after that color change in the solution was observed, this change in color signified that nanoparticles are formed. The nanoparticles were characterized by using instruments that includes UV-vis spectrophotometer and scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). To validate the activities of the synthesized nanoparticles, different biological assays will be analyzed that comprises antibacterial, antioxidant and cytotoxic assays. Silver and aloe vera both already considered as Antibacterial agents so synergistic antimicrobial activity is expected.
The objectives are :
Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles from AloeVera plant
To check the anti-bacterial activity of synthsized nanoparticles.
PREPARATION OF ALOE VERA LEAVE EXTRACT
PREPARATION OF SILVER NANOPARTICLES (Ag NP) BY BIO EXTRACT
HYDROTHERMAL TREATMENT ON SILVER NANOPARTICLES
CHARACTERIZATION THROUGH ELECTRON MICROSCOPY
CHARACTERIZATION THROUGH SPECTROPHOTOMETERY
ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY
TO DISCOVER THE SYNERGISTIC EFFECT OF SILVER AND ALOE VERA GEL AS ANTIBACTERIAL AGENTS.
THE FINAL PRODUCT WITH BE THE NANOPARTICLES IN POWDERED FORM.
