Student Tracking and Behavior Monitoring System via CCTV
In these days, many educational institutes have been installed CCTV cameras and they are recording everything happing in the institute. Our plan is to make learning process more effective by observing each activity happened in the institute for example when a student enter and exit the institute which will be useful for taking attendance and this is also useful for security reason. When a student entered then we will track him on which places he went and what he is doing, this is useful for monitor student behaviour, for example student take classes or not, he concentrates in class or not, he is doing good or bad activity in class or institute which will be use for scoring sessional marks and this will also helpful for decision making for institute administration.
There are multiple cameras which will be installed on different locations and view specific areas and there is a computer which works as a server. The server is getting the videos from every camera and processing on it and its results are two types. First type, it will indicate or alarm immediately when anything happened related to security. Second type, system is only observer which student located in a place and what he or she is doing and what is the current behaviour and then store in a database, and this data will be used after, for example calculation of student attendance, track record which place student spent the time most, study which kind of their behaviour etc. Processing consists of multiple artificial intelligence models including person face detection, face identification, behaviour or action classification or crime detection etc.
The benefits of the project are as follows.
There are many CCTV cameras which monitor 24/7 on different locations and send the footage to a desktop computer which act as Server. As the server computer getting the footage from every CCTV then it passes through multiple Machine Learning Models detect and identify student and classify his or her behaviour or action store it to database. By this we also marking student attendance and calculation of student scores. Machine Learning model also detect abnormal activities and alarm in administration office. Our machine learning model will be based on Tensorflow and openCV.
