| The focus of the project is to develop a standalone portable communication system suitable for operation in disasters. In emergency, the existing communication system fails and people trapped in the locality can thus not communicate with other localities. The proposed system will be portable and easy to carry system. It can be deployed in few easy steps and would be able to communicate with far away areas. For the purpose of long distance communication, a directional antenna along with low power transceiver would be required. To power up the low power transceiver, a self-sustained renewable energy system (e.g. Solar Panels) along with efficient charger to charge up the battery would be developed. |

we use raspberry pi(RPi) and LoRa (long range) module. RPi is a small board computer which perform many tasks at the same time. LoRa is a low power wide area network(LPWN) technology. LoRa use as a long range (more than 10 km) radio transceiver which use license free radio frequencies bands like 433 MHz, 868MHz(EUOPE), 915 MHz (Australia and North America). To make it standalone we use lithium ion battery because it is light in weight than any other battery. The battery will be charged from solar panel.
Thus this model act as portable standalone communication system. Which is capable of working in any type of weather condition even in natural disasters when all other communication systems are down.
