A library is a place where a large collection of books and resourcesare available to use that can be assesible by the students. It acts as a brain of the institutions. Currently, the transaction related to books in Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Memorial Public (SSBMP) Library  are handled manually, as a result, there is more time and resource consumption in the manual system to record transactions like book issuance, search, addition, and book return. A series of difficulties are being faced in the manual management of the library. Most human error happens in keeping records like some manually written files loss and damaged due to inefficiency use. If there is, no computerized system of library managementlike books and records will remain a big challenge. The newly designed computerized project approach can be used to solve the problems. The SSBMP Library Management System is a web based project. 

Project Objectives

The objective of the SSBMP Library Management System are as Follows:

1. To implement a system that rerquires less human effort to record bookkeeping transactions in the library.

2. To develop a system that can replace the manual library management system.

3. To develop a database that stores student details & book details.

4. To provide seperate logins for admininstrator, librarian and student.

5. To develop an online book issuance request feature.

6. To classify books using OCLC classifying method.

7. To manage books using a barcode reader.

Project Implementation Method

The deveopment process by using the Agile development method to develop that project. It is based on iterations where requirements are solutions are advanced through collaboration between cross-functional teams. It enables client and team members to collaborate throughout the whole project implementation. It provides more chances for the team to fully understand the needs and requirements of the client. Also, if the client wants to make any changes they can do it without restarting 1st step. Keeping the needs of this project in view, this project follows an agile methodology.

Benefits of the Project

This project is based on Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Memorial Public Library Larkana, this project provides ease to student's online book issuance requests and manages the librarian's manual work of book issuing and new book entries through the online web portal.
