Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryOur project is related to extracting energy from two renewable sources (wind+solar) hybrid system for metro bus station. By synchronizing these two and running load from it, of the bus station. In this process we have a vertical shape wind turbine which will move according to speed of air and generate the power. Through solar panel, the absorbed energy from light will produce power. Then we will convert the AC voltage into DC produced by the wind turbine with the help of rectifier. After that we will combine voltages of both sources and connect it to a battery. For AC load we will connect an Inverter and operate the load with it.
Project ObjectivesMaking a hybrid system (wind+solar) for metro bus station, because the world is moving towards the renewable energy resources.
Project Implementation Method- Micro Verticle Wind turbine and Solar panel will be synchronized together through a charge controller, which will be connected to a battery,and then delivering the DC power to the load and a DC to AC inverter will also be used to provide the AC power where needed in the metro station.
- In this process we will also be using a micro controller (Arduino) through which we will get the voltage and power at the output.
- Renewable & clean source of energy.
- Low operating costs.
- This project is the most feasible economic solution in lowering electricity bills.
- This kind of project will reduce the reliance on combustion-based electricity generation.
