which are non renewable and in limited amount Another solution is to use solar
energy in the form of solar panels to charge the battery of the UPS. Our project
is design to a solar powered UPS system and use it as a power source for
household purpose. It's mainly made up of solar panel, solar controller and
storage battery. If the input power source is AC 220V, it's should also be fitted
with inverter. The significance of UPS in house hold power system is that we can
create our own supply out of natural solar resource instead of relying on main
electricity supply stations especially in Pakistan where there is shortage of
power, electricity and load shedding on regular basis. Our main application
would be for use in small house hold projects
Project ObjectivesTo design a solar powered UPS system and use it as a power source for household purpose
To get a working system which have a maximum life spam so that the energy
which is stored can be used in the time of crisis.
To make this system more efficient than any other energy storage system.
Project Implementation Method• Our main application would be for use in small house hold projects.
• Solar power system can also be applied in power, communications transportation,
military and many other industries. The requirements of hardware and other
material will increase as per application
Benefits of the Project1. Solar power is pollution free and causes no greenhouse gases to be emitted after
installation
2. Reduced dependence on foreign oil and fossil fuels

become more efficient tomorrow
10.No trenching is needed since the solar can be close to or at the place of installation
Technical Details of Final DeliverableGet a working system which can store electrical energy produced by
photovoltaic cell and other renewable energy sources, in the form of potential
energy which can later be used by converting it into Electrical Energy with the help
of solar panel.
