Project Summary

Solar Power Based AC Servo Control is the new inovative project in colaaborated with defense organiztion National Development Complex (NDC, NESCOM) , Islamabad. the power source is Solar Energy , free of cost energy resource. the Servo concept is AC motor + optical encoder + RPM Sensor. the control of the servo is from VFD( Varable Frequency Drive) using potentiometer, which use the PWM (Pulse Witdth Modulation). The RPM parameter is diplayed on LCD.

Project Objectives

There are some main objesctives fo project,

  1. High Power Conversion from 12volt DC to 310volt pulsating DC.
  2. Pulsating DC to AC Conversion of 220volt, 50Hz
  3. Controlling by varing PWM through potentiometer
  4. Portable Proto-type Product Form
  5. Load Current Limitting on Output
  6. RPM Display on LCD
  7. Practical Implementation after modification.

Project Implementation Method

The main practical implementation in now-a-days are as folows;

  4. Textile industries

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The technical details of project are as follows;

  1. PUSH-PULL High Frequency Inverter ( this module is conisiting of (PUSH-PULL Circuit + AC Chopper), whom take 12/24volts from Solar Power, converts into 310volts Pulsating DC with frequency component.)
  2. High Power Rectifier ( it is made by Schotky Diode due to High Frequency input of 50kHz from Chopper and convert it in to pure DC of high voltage 310Volts.)
  3. Hign Power H-Bridge AC Motor Driver ( it is made by Mosfet's due to high switching capability. it converts 310 DC voltage into AC 220volts - 250volts geinting control signal from microcontroller Atmega328)
  4. Micro-controller Atmega328( it is control signal genrator which is variable PWM signal with help of potentio-meter of 10kilo-ohm, whom fed into Mosfet's for switching purpose of 310volts to 220-250volts of 50Hz frequency)
  5. AC Servo Motor ( it is made by AC induction motor 150 watt + optical encoder + RPM Sensor, takes power from motor driver and genrate two signal digital and analogue. in this project digital signal is used for display RPM on LCD of 16*2.)
