Our project The Smart Wheel Chair is a very sophisticated yet easy to use. It aims to help the disabled and aged people. Quadriplegic and an ill person can also use this wheelchair easily. The wheelchair is implemented in a cost-effective way which reduces the complexity in the design. It is intended to be used as a human-friendly interface. This will offer a small relief to the patients who are tolerating from such conditions. The Wheelchair will be operated with three functions:

1. Voice Controlled

2. Mobile Application

3. Hand sensor

Project Objectives

Smart Wheel Chair serves as one of the most important purpose which is the mobility for someone without the capability to propel. It has helped individuals gain confidence and independence by simply controlling the wheelchair according to there comfort. It has different features that come in handy at all times. 

Project Implementation Method

Currently, the electronic wheelchairs available in the market are usually having one function of operating procedure. Whereas in our project we are implementing 3 operating procedures which are controlling the wheelchair through Android Application, the second and most important operating procedure is through the hand movement with the help of the sensors and the last one is the voice-controlled command. The challenge which we will be facing will be making sure that all the operating procedures are working accordingly as they are supposed to be. We will also be equipping the wheelchair with an object detector sensor which help in avoiding any mishappening.

It is, after all, going to support you and be there with you on all of your daily activities and exciting adventures throughout your lifetime.

One of the best benefits our wheelchair will provide to its users is self-confidence, self-esteem, pride, and independence. While these benefits are mostly emotional, it does affect the way you feel and the way you live your life. While once you may have been isolated in your home, away from friends and family and even scared to walk in your house alone, your wheelchair provides physical support as well as a boosted and more positive outlook on life.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We have designed a wheelchair and an application which is android based, it is basically a hand movement and voice control wheelchair which can be move with hand movement through sensors and an application for both patient or attendant if any, we are using English language commands in application, previously back in the wheelchairs was used manually or with one smart function at a time. Moreover, we will also be operating the wheelchair through voice commands as well. The wheelchair will be equipped with an object detector sensor which will help the wheelchair stop at a specified distance from an obstacle to avoid any sort of mishappening.
