A data logging system that allows record keeping of entries along with the ability to store credit. An Android application is an integrated part of the design that allows the user to stay notified.

Project Objectives

Personnel entering the premises is usually not monitored. Also, students may at times buy things from cafeteria on a loan which in turn becomes a source of loss. Implementation of this project makes sure the record of entrance and cafeteria billing is dealt without manual data logging.

Project Implementation Method

The Smart Card uses RFID card for unique identification. The devices installed for entry purposes to keep record and installed at the cafeteria to allow transaction using the Smart Card are linked with a local database where required information about the personnel is stored. A notification is generated and sent to the Android application whenever the Smart Card is used.

Benefits of the Project

The project is applicable in companies, institutions, classrooms, universities, cafeterias, housing schemes, etc. Basically anywhere where there is a need to keep record of entrance and credit keeping is required.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The project consists of two devices. One that will be installed for entry purposes to keep record. And the second one which is installed at the cafeteria to allow transaction using the Smart Card.
