Project Area of Specialization Wearables and ImplantableProject SummaryThe main purpose for designing this project is that deaf people face a lot of problem in communicating with normal people and they did not convey their message to the normal people properly because normal people can’t understand their sign language. So, we are going to design a project that will help deaf people to convey their message just by their hand motion and it will directly be converted into the voice.
Project ObjectivesThe aim of this project is to design a device that will help in communicating between two people one having hearing disability and other without hearing disability by just converting the signs and motion of the disable people into speech so that normal people can understand what he is trying to say.
Project Implementation Methodwe will design a band on which we implement the main circuit and modules of our project that will detect specific motion and send information to the user android phone where the android App is connected to the module (on band) and the message is conveyed in form of voice. Moreover, we are adding a GPS system to the band so as to confirm the location of the person if he is lost in some public place
Benefits of the ProjectDespite the fact that the deaf and dumb people can impart without issues amongst themselves, there is serious challenge for the hearing-impaired person trying to communicate with normal people. This is because not every single typical people can comprehend their gesture-based communication. The greater part of ordinary individuals has not been taught about the sign language. As communication is imperative, this issues inevitably makes a limitation for the impaired individuals to correspond with the normal. Therefore, a sign language translator must be developed to tackle those issues.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable- Designing a close to real time system that performs hand motion to speech.
