This project implements an efficient way to power generation system, using solar power. Solar energy system is used to collect maximum power from sun. This project is to use the solar panels implemented in this project more efficiently and to carry out a realistic experimental approach to enhance the solar output power to a significant level and piezoelectric energy harvesting circuit. In this pproject, piezoelectric-based energy harvesting technology is applied to generate electricity from mechanical stress (vibrations). Using piezoelectric material to harvest vibration energy from humans walking, machinery vibrating, or cars moving on a roadway is an area of great interest, because this vibration energy is otherwise untapped. Since movement is everywhere, the ability to capture this energy cheaply would be a significant advancement toward greater efficiency and cleaner energy production. The goal of this experiment is to investigate whether piezoelectricity would be able to provide sufficient source of voltage to charge the parent battery in case of rainy or cloudy days. 

Project Objectives

To develop a hybrid power generation using dual axis
tracker solar panel and Piezoelectric Material in order to
fulfill the energy requirements.

Our system will consume the solar power and also the
mechanical pressure of man exerted on path while
walking, and produces cheap power.

Of course our developed idea will be cheap as compared
to the power consumption from power system
because both the sources have only initial investment
only with a very little cost of maintenance.

Project Implementation Method

There two main parts of our project in which one is Solar part and other is Piezoelecteric part.

In solar parts we use solar tracker which is an efficient way to produce more energy using sunlight. When sunlight falls on solar system then dua to tracker the intensity of light is increses due to which more energy is produce.

in Piezoelectric part, by applying the preesure on piezoeleztric plates we can generate more energy which is use to drive our load.Then combining these two parts we can use one of these system at a time which provide required energy at that time to drive our load.

Benefits of the Project

Solar power is pollution free and causes no greenhouse gases to be emitted after installation. Reduced dependence on foreign oil and fossil fuels.

Piezoelectric materials can operate at any temperature conditions.They have low carbon footprint making them the best alternative for fossil fuel.

Characteristics of these materials make them the best energy harvesters.Unused energy lost in the form of vibrations can be tapped to generate green energy.

These materials can be reused.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Smart hybrid Power generation using piezoelectric material and Solar tracker system.

Solar tracker, a system that positions an object at an angle relative to the Sun. The most-common applications for solar trackers are positioning photovoltaic (PV) panels (solar panels) so that they remain perpendicular to the Sun's rays and positioning space telescopes so that they can determine the Sun's direction.

So, that we use solar tracker system in our project.

Piezoelectricity is the electric charge that accumulates in certain solid materials (such as crystals, certain ceramics, and biological matter such as bone, DNA and various proteins) in response to applied mechanical stress. The word piezoelectricity means electricity resulting from pressure and latent heat.

By using piezoelectric material and applying pressure on that mateial we drive our load.
