Home Automation is making the home smart by providing conveniences, comfort, security, safety, and energy efficiency to its occupants adding intelligence to home environment can provide increase quality life. This project is based on different kind of sensors that provide security and safety by using finger print smart lock and gas detection, for savage of time and water using sprinklers, automatically ON/OFF the lights when human enters in the room.Elderly and handicap people  need someone to perform some task and actions for example: disable people come in the room he/she is  not able to ON/OFF the lights, when someone goes out of town for some days because of this it is not possible to watering the plants ,working person in morning/evening need to give watering to  plants this consume 20 to 30 minutes due to this his/her precious time is waste, we also seem problem regarding security of unauthorized people trespassing in our home,  Many appliances and heaters that use natural gas, liquid petroleum gas (LPG) and many dangerous gases which may be a source of risk, health issues and cause of death.human detection sensor resolve the problem of wastage of electricity and help the elder and handicap people, Gas detection sensor detects a change in gas concentration and it activates the audiovisual alarm, Finger print sensor used for the security purpose the images store in the Arduino when user scans finger then current image matches with the image store in the Arduino then door will open, by using Sprinklers minimize the human intervention ,save time, water and electricity and make the process of plant watering automatic

Project Objectives

The goal of smart home is to make our houses automated with the help of different sensors to provide resident facilities, comfort, energy efficiency and security. The main objective of the system is:

• Finger prints for smart lock
• Gas detection for safety
• Lawn sprinklers for smart gardening
• Automatically ON/OFF lights when human enter in room

Project Implementation Method

The smart home is based on Arduino which is connected to the multiple sensors to encounter the problems like human detection sensor resolve the problem of wastage of electricity and help the elder and handicap people, Gas detection sensor detects a change in gas concentration and it activates the audiovisual alarm, Finger print sensor used for the security purpose the images store in the Arduino when user scans finger then current image matches with the image store in the Arduino then door will open, by using Sprinklers minimize the human intervention ,save time, water and electricity and make the process of plant watering automatic.

Benefits of the Project

The benefits of this project is to providing security, save of electricity, water, and time.  Human Detection sensor reduce the wastage of power which is spending unnecessarily due to this reduce the monthly electricity bills. As our population is growing at a rapid rate, the demand of electricity is increasing day by day. It is high time we needed to look forward to reducing the energy wastage. Automated Sprinklers can provide high accuracy water supply and avoid water from wastage due to automatically handling, user requires less man power. Finger print lock can secure the targeted place in term of robbery, murder, money and unusual case. Gas leakage detection sensor can be implemented in Industries, Hotels and wherever the LPG cylinders are used.
